Betonart / Tracing the Diagrammatic Approach in Allan Wexler's Productions

Published in the 59th issue of Betonart, guest-edited by Erdem Ceylan, this article investigates the diagrammatic nature of Allan Wexler's work across the intersections of art, architecture, and design. Through the thematic lenses of settling on the earth and representation, it examines how Wexler employs objects, installations, and architectural experiments as relational and critical tools for questioning the built environment, human action, and everyday rituals. Rather than treating the diagram as a representational device alone, the article argues that Wexler's practice embodies a diagrammatic mode of thinking that continuously constructs new relationships between ideas, objects, and space.
