Looking from In-Between

Developed for the Istanbul Research Institute, Looking from In-Between: A Section of Meşrutiyet Street was a collaborative research and exhibition project, co-curated with Eda Özgener. It explored the spatial and social transformation of Pera through a section of Meşrutiyet Street, examining the reciprocal relationship between urban space and everyday life rather than presenting a chronological history. The exhibition employed spatial reconstructions, archival materials, and virtual reality to present Pera as a layered urban landscape. This idea of layering became the exhibition's central design language: translucent veils, overlapping graphics, mirrors, and reconstructed spatial elements invited visitors to move through successive historical layers, framing the city's transformation as a spatial narrative experienced through space itself.
