Sergei Tchoban: Between Timelayers

Presented at Istanbul Bilgi University's Energy Museum, Sergei Tchoban: Between Timelayers reinterpreted the exhibition previously shown at the Antalya Architecture Biennale within the layered industrial setting of santralistanbul. Bringing together architectural drawings, engravings, and built projects, the exhibition explored the relationship between historical and contemporary architecture through Tchoban's investigations of the city as an accumulation of temporal layers. The exhibition design responded to the museum's industrial heritage, establishing a dialogue between Tchoban's architectural visions and the existing fabric of the former power plant. Structured around two complementary sections—drawings and built projects—the exhibition invited visitors to consider how contemporary architecture negotiates memory, contrast, and continuity within the evolving city.
